Jagjit Singh still critical

The condition of popular ghazal singer Jagjit Singh, who operated upon at Lilavati Hospital after suffering brain haemorrhage, continues to be “critical”, said the hospital.
“This is to confirm that Mr Jagjit Singh's condition remains critical,” Niket V Mehta, Managing Trustee of Lilavati Hospital, said.
“We have to respect the patient's privacy and therefore cannot comment further,” he said.
The 70-year-old legend is currently in the ICU after undergoing emergency surgery for brain haemorrhage Thursday evening.
Brain hemorrhage is a known complication of uncontrolled hypertension or high blood pressure.
