Bollywood actress Vidya Balan is in news because of her latest film, The Dirty Picture. The film is based on the real life story of southern sex siren Silk Smitha. The film is all set be released at the end of this year on Silk Smitha’s birthday, 2 December. Vidya will be seen in a bold avatar which she has never been shown before and is playing a skimpily dressed seductress in the upcoming film. In this film she is acting with Naseeruddin Shah, Emraan Hashmi and Tusshar Kapoor.
The film is claimed to be very bold in nature and still Vidya feels that she has to justify the role and fulfill the demands of the script. So the actress has stated that to call her a porn star would be unfair. Vidya Balan said, “I think I am an actor playing a character Silk Smitha. I don't think there is a possibility of that tag being attached to me. I just hope it adds another shade to me as an actor”. In this film she is working with Emraan and Tusshar for the first time but with Naseeruddin Shah, she is working for the second time as she has done a film earlier too. In Ishqiya she was little nervous to work with him but in this film the comfort level has increased to a greater degree.
