Her earlier claim to fame were a heady 17 kisses for Khwaaish. Much has changed for Murder ma'am… Mallika Sherawat. The gal who was summarily dismissed as a dumbette and is presently being lauded as a "tantrum queen"(unhappy with both labels), has clearly come a long, long way (with or without Virginia Slims ciggies, that is).Her Hollywood flick Politics of Love and two meetings with American President Barack Obama have generated reams of newsprint.
When quizzed about the impression of Indian actors in Hollywood, Sherawat states in a media interaction, "Indian actors are looked upon as an exotic species in Hollywood. Actresses like Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Freida Pinto have lent respect and Indian actors are now looked upon with a lot of curiosity."
The actress, whose personal life has inspired prurient interest from periodicals and channels alike, admits that she's been offered a sinful amount to spill the beans on her life.
"I have got a few offers to pen my autogiography and have been offered a jaw dropping amount for it," Sherawat is quoted to have said.
As per "highly placed" sources, the palpitation inducing figure was reported to be… a record Rs. 20 Crore!!
Sherawat's sweetly declares in a Press comment, "Figures have been exaggerated, but it's too soon in the day to write one."
