Around 30 supporters of Anna Hazare were detained by Delhi Police for holding protests outside Union HRD Minister Kapil Sibal's residence in the national capital on Monday.
The protesters were detained under Section 65 of the Delhi Police Act after they gathered outside Sibal's residence early in the morning and shouted anti-government slogans.
The protesters were reportedly responding to Hazare's call to picket homes of their local MPs demanding that the Jan Lokpal Bill be passed in the current session of Parliament.
Meanwhile, protesters also demonstrated outside Delhi Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit's residence in the morning.
On Sunday, Hazare supporters had protested outside Prime Minister Manmohan Singh's residence. There were protests outside BJP leader Rajnath Singh's home as well. Union Law Minister Salman Khurshid was black-flagged in his constituency of Farrukhabad in Uttar Pradesh.
